Privacy policy

This page explains what information we collect when you use the website, why we do it, and what rights you have.

Data controller

Elbilexpressen AS (organisation number 938 465 053), part of Oljeskiftexpressen, is the controller for the personal data collected on this website.

What we process

We only process information you send us yourself through the “Book a time” and “Send us a message” (contact page) forms:

  • The car’s registration number and any other details about the car you choose to give, such as model, mileage and service history
  • Name, phone number and email address
  • Requested service, date, delivery option, how you would like us to follow up and a description of what you need
  • Whether you are a TOCN member
  • The subject and message you write in the contact form

Purpose and legal basis

We use the information to answer your request, suggest a time, find the right service for your car and give a price estimate. Processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

We do not use the information for marketing, and we never sell it or share it with others for their own purposes.

Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small number of suppliers (processors) that process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:

  • Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC) delivers form emails to our inbox. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.
  • Google Workspace stores the emails in our inbox.
  • Railway hosts the website on servers in the EU and keeps technical logs.

Storage and deletion

Requests are kept in our inbox for as long as needed to follow up the case and any warranty or complaint claims, and deleted no later than three years after the last contact.

Technical server logs (IP address, time, page) are used for operations and security and are deleted automatically after a short period.

Cookies and tracking

The website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. The map on the contact page is loaded from OpenStreetMap when you scroll to it. Your browser then sends its IP address to the OpenStreetMap Foundation to fetch the map images, as with any online map.

Your rights

You have the right to access the information we hold about you and to request correction, deletion or restriction of processing. You can also object to processing and ask to receive your data (data portability).

Send us an email and we will reply within 30 days. If you believe we process data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).
