Service and warranty

Do I keep the warranty after service at Elbilexpressen?

When your car is due for its manufacturer service, we follow the manufacturer's service programme for your specific car, document the work and use parts of original or equivalent quality. Your warranty rights are then protected in line with current rules and the car's warranty terms. Our inspection packages are a separate offer and do not replace the manufacturer service. The workshop confirms the content and price of a manufacturer service in advance.

Do EVs really need service?

Yes. EVs have fewer moving engine parts than fossil cars, but brakes, cabin filter, tyres, climate system, suspension and electronic systems should be checked regularly.

What is included in an EV service?

A Standard service covers a diagnostic scan, a check of the low-voltage battery, a visual high-voltage check, the cooling system, brakes and underbody. Model-specific brake service, a test drive and a service report are part of the agreed package. A Complete service adds an extended inspection and a standard cabin filter when it is due. The service selector suggests a package based on the mileage. The suggestion is preliminary: the workshop confirms what your car needs based on its age and service history before any work starts.

Does roadside assistance come with a service?

Roadside assistance: 12 months of MECA Veihjelp roadside assistance from Viking included with a qualifying service. See MECA’s terms (meca.no, opens in a new tab). An inspection package is not automatically a qualifying service – the workshop confirms it and records the roadside assistance on your receipt.

Time and delivery

How long does a normal service take?

Time depends on the service and car model. A periodic inspection normally takes approx. 45–60 minutes, while diagnostics and repairs may require more time.

Can you pick up and deliver my car?

Yes. By arrangement we can pick up the car at home or at work and return it when the job is done. The price is calculated by distance.

Can I wait while the car is being serviced?

Yes. For shorter services such as periodic inspection, cabin filter and tyre change you can wait at the workshop.

Price

How much does an EV service cost?

An EV service costs from kr 2 490,- incl. VAT. The exact price depends on the model and mileage – choose your car in the service selector to see a preliminary suggestion for an inspection package and the fixed price of that package. The workshop confirms what your car needs based on its age and service history. On some models, manufacturer-specific parts or other interval work may be added, and you are always told and approve it in advance.

Can there be additional costs?

Not without your approval. If we find anything beyond what was agreed, we contact you with a price before doing anything.

How do I get the TOCN price?

Tick «I am a TOCN member» in the service selector or when booking, and show valid membership at drop-off. Members get 20% off EV service. Periodic inspection has a fixed member price of kr 890,-, and the other TOCN benefits have their own amounts.
