Maintaining your Volkswagen ID.

The ID. models have few moving engine parts, but still need regular maintenance of brakes, cabin filter, tyres, air conditioning, suspension and electronics. When your car is due for its manufacturer service, we follow Volkswagen’s service programme for your specific car and document the work. We have our own access to the digital service book for Volkswagen, so the service is recorded directly.

You are free to choose your workshop without losing the new-car warranty, as long as the service follows the manufacturer’s programme with parts of original or equivalent quality and the work is documented. We do this on every manufacturer service. Our Standard and Complete inspection packages are a separate offer and do not replace the manufacturer service.

Cabin filter and brakes in city traffic

The cabin filter should be replaced every 2 years, or every year if you mostly drive in central Oslo where air pollution is higher. The job takes about 20 minutes.

Brakes should be cleaned and lubricated every year or every 20,000 km. Regenerative braking means the mechanical brakes see little use, so they can corrode.

Software, fault codes and charging faults

Many faults on the ID. models show up as a warning light or reduced charging power with no obvious cause. We run systematic diagnostics with professional equipment, read stored and active fault codes and give you a quote before anything is repaired.
