Repair rather than replace

The high-voltage battery is the most expensive component in an EV, and a fault in the pack does not automatically mean the whole pack has to go. We always start with systematic diagnostics to find out what is actually wrong.

Then we recommend the solution that is technically sound and most cost-effective – at component level where possible. We only replace what needs replacing, and you get a quote before work begins.

What we diagnose

We read stored and active fault codes and compare them with measurements on the car, so we can tell a genuine component failure from a knock-on fault.

  • High-voltage battery – capacity, cell imbalance and fault codes
  • Drive unit and electric drivetrain
  • Inverter and control units
  • Charging system and on-board charger – home and rapid charging
  • Insulation faults in the high-voltage circuit
  • Climate components linked to battery cooling

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can a high-voltage battery be repaired, or does it have to be replaced?

Many battery faults can be repaired without replacing the whole pack. We start with systematic diagnostics to find the real cause, then recommend the solution that is technically sound and most cost-effective. You get a quote before work begins.

How much does it cost to diagnose a high-voltage fault in Oslo?

Diagnostics start at kr 990,-. For more extensive fault-finding on high-voltage systems we agree scope and price in advance, and you get a repair quote once the initial diagnostics are done.

My car will not charge. What should I do?

Call us on +47 400 42 700 and tell us whether the fault happens with home charging, AC charging or rapid charging. We check the on-board charger, charging port, high-voltage battery and related control units, and find out whether the fault is in the car or the charging equipment.

Is it dangerous to work on high-voltage systems?

High-voltage work requires specific expertise, protective equipment and procedures, and must never be done by untrained people. We are an approved category 01 workshop with certified technicians and expertise in battery systems, drive units, charging equipment and insulation faults.
