Fully electric and plug-in hybrid

We take the whole BMW i range, including the i3, i4 and iX, as well as BMW plug-in hybrids. When your car is due for its manufacturer service, we follow BMW’s service programme for your specific car and document the work, so your warranty is protected. As a BMW partner we read vehicle data directly from the key. Our Standard and Complete inspection packages are a separate offer and do not replace the manufacturer service.

A plug-in hybrid has both a combustion engine and an electric drivetrain, and both need maintenance. We handle oil and filter changes, brakes and suspension on the mechanical side, and diagnostics of the high-voltage battery, charging system and control units on the electric side.

Brakes on the BMW i range

On fully electric cars, brake servicing matters even more. Regenerative braking means the mechanical brakes see little use, which leaves them more prone to corrosion and sticking calipers. We recommend cleaning and lubrication every year or every 20,000 km.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you service the BMW i3, i4 and iX in Oslo?

Yes. We take the whole BMW i range and BMW plug-in hybrids at Konows gate 67B in Oslo. When your car is due for its manufacturer service, we follow BMW’s service programme for your specific car and document the work, so your warranty is protected. Our inspection packages are a separate offer and do not replace the manufacturer service.

How often does a BMW EV need a brake service?

We recommend cleaning and lubrication every year or every 20,000 km. EVs use their mechanical brakes very little because of regenerative braking, which makes them more prone to corrosion and sticking calipers.

Can you diagnose BMW fault codes?

Yes. We use Autel, Bosch and Launch diagnostic equipment, with fault-finding from kr 990,-. You get an explanation of what the fault code means and a quote before any repair.

Do you change the oil on BMW plug-in hybrids?

Yes. We carry out oil and filter changes and standard mechanical servicing on the combustion engine, and check the electric drivetrain on the same visit.
